Brittany Alavinejad '12 Recruiting Profile

Most people call me Britt, I'm a 5'8", 155pnd, TEAM player. If the gym is open, I'm in it. I have vision for the court unlike many players I've been around. When I'm on the court I'm a game leader and the go-to girl. I'm a great passer, have solid defense skills, and love to get steals.  I am a solid backup point guard but I'm more of a 2 or 3 guard for my shooting abilities.  I like to make my teammates laugh and have fun while winning. I was a team captain at Moore High School before transferring to Westmoore.  I was also the team captain for my AAU team, Oklahoma Rage.  My goal for this year is to help lead my HS team to the state tournament.
I have volunteered at OU Children's Hospital and currently at Norman Regional Hospital. I also take every opportunity to help out the local league coaches at the Moore Community Center with teaching basic fundamentals to the kids in the local community. I love working with children and helping them reach their basketball goals. I've traveled to Kuwait and Austria as well as have visited many different States. I want to find a school that fits me.  I am not opposed  going to college outside of Oklahoma. 
I have A.D.D. and I work through it every day to be successful at everything I do on and off the court. My desired major is forensic science and I am interested in the medical field (physical therapy or family physician) but I have a passion for basketball and will be a basketball coach at some level. My goal is to play basketball at a school where I can also achieve academically.  I'll be ready to play when the coach calls on me.  I'm sure to make an impact on any team I play for.
