Personal Statement

I have thoroughly enjoyed the past eleven years of basketball and do hope to have the opportunity to play in college. Since I was six years old, basketball has been a staple in my life.   Basketball not only pushed me to understand the strategic play of the game, but also kept my body in shape and my mind sharp.   As the competition grew stronger, so did my passion for this game.  Although my love for basketball is great, I stand true to who I am, a STUDENT-athlete. I am a student first and an athlete second.  I take school and my grades very seriously.   My dream is  to use basketball as a pathway to receive a tremendous education from a top university that will prepare me for medical school.  I had the privilege to watch my father take care of patients with and without insurance all of my life.  I am so proud that he gave back to our community by treating patients that did not have traditional access to medical care because they did not have insurance.  That is my ultimate dream to give back to those in need by providing qualaity medical care and thereby changing lives!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
