Collegiate goals and aspirations:
Athletically, my primary goal is to someday play college basketball, at any level. The level at which I play will be determined by my work ethic and overall development over the next 3-4 years.
What makes you a good candidate for anyone's team?
Work ethic, ability to thrive in a team environment, and my ability to play (and know) all 5 positions on the basketball court.
What makes you different from others?
Character-I believe nothing should be given to you. Everything you achieve in life should be earned through hard work and commitment to be the best you can possibly be. Whether it be academically, athletically, or otherwise, those who recognize their flaws and build on their strengths will succeed. I believe that nothing worth having comes easy.
Athletics-Regardless of the sport I played (soccer, softball, basketball), I have played up at least one level, sometimes more. I believe this has prepared me for the challenges I will face at the high school and collegiate level. Last year, as a 7th grader, I made the JV softball and basketball teams. After identifying this as a goal as a 4th grader, I put in the extra work (travel ball, conditioning, extra independent hours in the gym hitting and shooting) to make sure I was as prepared as possible.
Academics-While playing multiple sports, many at the same time, I have maintained a 96-100 average through 8th grade. By allocating the right amount of time to athletics and academics, I have been able to succeed at both. My schedule, which begins at 6am and often does not conclude until late at night, regardless of the season, has prepared me to succeed at the high school and collegiate level.
