I have loved sports since I was able to hold a ball. I started playing softball at age 5 and basketball in the 3rd grade. I have known all my life that I wanted to one day go to a great college and play a sport there. It took many years for me to realize that basketball was the sport I wanted to play in college. A huge honor I received for my 2014-2015 season was being named Player of the Year for the Sullivan County Democrat. I also received the plaque for the best free throw shooter and 3 point shooter in Section 9 All along I have always known that grades were most important. No matter what, a good education is something that will always be most important in life. I am an honor student who is a member of National Honor Society. I take pride in my grades and my behavior. I am a student who others look up to. In my free time from homework, studying, sports practice I practice basketball drills and always look in learning more to improve. I maintain a decent overall average of a 91. I look forward to the rest of my basketball season and also trying out for a travel team again. Just recently in June of 2016 I had the opportunity to tryout for the section 9 BCANY team and made it. I am representing our section to play other sections in NY State. Another accomplishment recently was earning MVP for the St Lawrence Girls Basketball Camp during June of 2016 As far as scoring this year I have not scored as much being I have improved on my assisting to my players. I have contributed to much needed points at critical times during the season due to my assists. I am also a member of the Middletowns Finest aau 17u team which I play shooting guard mostly. My senior year I was able to accomplish another goal and that was scoring past the 1000 point mark. I ended my high school career with 1012 points. My goal is to attend college and get a degree in physical education while playing basketball in college.
