Personal Statement

Hi coaches,

I am currently  junior boarding at the Hun School of Princeton. Beginning freshman year, I have started every game on our Varsity basketball team. I am mostly known for my range as a 3 point shooter. I've been playing AAU since the 3rd grade.  This year has been off to a great start for me, and with 8 games under my belt I am averaging 20.5 points a game.  My verified stats can be found here:  http://highschoolsports.nj.com/player/kennedy-jardine/   I was named to the All state "All Prep" girls basketball team for 2018-2019, and made it again this season (2019-2020)

I continue to play AAU in the off season in addition to working with a personal basketball trainer weekly in Princeton. I attended Yale's Elite Camp, two Princeton camps, and one Dartmouth camp this Summer. This gave me a great first look at training at the college level. Also, this summer, I played for the AAU Team Nike Exodus in New York and New Jersey with Coach Chris Mordi. We played at several national tournaments including Atlantic City, Indianapolis, and TOC at Chicago.

Over the last three years at The Hun School of Princeton I have been a consistent member of the Honor Roll.  This year I am enrolled in all honors courses.  In addition to my academic and basketball achievements I am also a drummer in the Hun School Advanced Jazz Band, and a member of the Hun School varsity crew team, where I primarily row in 6th seat, stroking the bow six.  During the summer I attended Team Nike tournaments and show cases this summer, I was a Counselor In Training at YMCA Camp Mason in NJ.

Here are my athletic honors:

NJISAA Prep A All State

1st Team all MAPL- junior season
All Prep 1st team- junior season
All Area 2nd team- junior season
2nd Team all MAPL- sophomore season
