As a freshman, people probably had me penciled as a point guard, but I floated to the two spot. I use my size well especially when shooting a fade away or when posting up against defenders. Though thin, I rebound well out of position and have confidence in my stroke. Serving as captain for two years in a row allowed me to take charge and pump up my team both in practice and before games.

I am a team player that works well with others, but have one rule…no negative attitudes! I set the example by working hard through every practice and pushing myself to the limit any time I step foot on the court. I offer endurance and dedication, never giving up…even if were down by 50 points. I thrive off of finding the “best player on the other team and taking her down…play by play.

My dream is two fold. First, I want continue growing in the game and play on a college team. Many girls in my position would be looking at division, but that doesn’t faze me. I just want to play the sport I fell in love with and love more everyday. I live to put my all on the floor and come back the next day stronger than I was the day before. Second, I want to achieve my educational goal of obtaining a dual degree in sports fitness and biology.

When all is said and done and the gym light go out, I want to go home knowing I did everything I could to make myself better on and off the court…leaving no regrets.
