When playing on a women's basketball team, it's not just a team. It's my team, it's our team. I am proud to play with my teammates, whilst having a good relationship or not. My prime is on defense, being my height I have an advantage. But, I do need some work on offensive plays. Knowing this I'm currently in the works of getting one on one training at Morey Courts. What's different about my mind set is I love criticism. I ask for it from my coaches, teammates, and my peers. I want to improve every single day, and getting these critics have improved my playing abilities tremendously. I will never be the girl to sit on the sideline and pout when something goes wrong. I listen to my coaches and teammates and fix the problem at hand. At practice and on the court I'm busting my bones to achieve improvement, being 15 I have a long road ahead. I truly love this sport, and I want to prove that commitment on the court. Whilst having a love for basketball, I have a love for academics. Ever since elementary school I've carried nothing lower than a 4.0. School is one of my main priorities and I tend to take my classes seriously. Being able to connect with people through marching band, student council, and honor society has helped me find the courage to strengthen my relationship with my teammates. Chippewa Hills do not have funds for gifted, or advanced mathmatic classes, but as new 12 year old I took Algebra 1. And my love of math grew from there. With this mind set, I truly believe I am different from the usual basketball player.
