My name is Amber Stephens, I Love the game of Basketball!! I have been playing competitively since I was 8 years old. Currently, I attend Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) as a Diploma Candidate spring of 2016. My current GPA is 3.75. I am involved and participate in many other clubs and organizations within my high school. Educationally, my goals are to pursue a career as a physical therapist or environmental scientist once my basketball playing career is complete. I believe in giving back, to whom much is given much is required.
From a basketball perspective, I was the starting guard for the 4X Michigan AAU State Champion Michigan Monarch 2016 team through 2013. As a member of this team, we won numerous national and regional tournament championships over the 4 years we were together. I am a 3 year varsity starter with the Farmington Hills Lady Hawks high school basketball team. We have won back to back Oakland Athletic Conference Championships, one MHSAA District Championship and we advanced to the MHSAA regional finals my freshman year. This spring I will be playing for the Michigan Storm AAU organization.I am dedicated to working hard every day, to get better and to win.
I am a leader and I believe in team. I love to play defense and I will do whatever it takes on the floor to win! It’s been said that I am a strong defender and a natural scorer who finishes well under pressure and through contact. I have the ability to change a game through my defense. I am a high energy player with a non- stop motor. I make it happen.
My goal is to find a college/university where I can pursue my collegiate basketball career and obtain my career and educational aspirations. I appreciate your time and consideration.
