The best experience I have had in my athletic career is making it to the semi-finals game of our conference play-offs my freshman year. My sophomore year I grew as a leader as well as a player. I was named co-captain my sophomore year and learned that leadership is an important role. I have learned how important it is for a team to work with each other to achieve team goals instead of individual goals. At the end of my sophomore year, my coach told me that when the game was on the line he would always relax looking at me and seeing that I wasn't panicked and that I always remain confident in myself and in my team. I was named 3rd team all-conference that year for the class B west conference. I am humbled by the fact that I was the only sophomore selected for recognition in our conference. I consider myself a true team player and I take pride in my defense, working hard every game since my coach matches me up against the other teams star player. I take a huge amount of pride in this role on the team as I consider myself a hard worker, and I love to be given a challenge and something to strive for. I will always push to be the hardest working player on my team and in return, hope that my team will follow my lead.
