Personal Statement

Update June 2013:  I will be playing at the USJN/Nike Premier in Mason OH for MBA Select (U17) July 6-8, 2013; Nike Tournament of Champions July 9-13th in Chicago at McCormick Place; and July 27-29, 2013 Nike Blue Star Nationals in Augusta GA.

Update March 2013: I will be playing at the USJN in Chicago for MBA Select (U17), April 19-21.

Update: Feb 2013:  I was able to return to play the final 4 games of our highschool season. I was able to help contribute to both a Conference and Sectional Championship for my highschool. Although our high school season came to an end at Regionals, I was thankful to get to play. The attached links is the S.Bend Tribune article about the final Regional game, where I was able to contribute 18 points and 9 rebounds (playing about 65% of game): http://www.southbendtribune.com/sports/highschoolsports/sbt-high-school-girls-basketball-warsaw-topple-001,0,6422953.photo  http://articles.southbendtribune.com/2013-02-17/sports/37149008_1_kaniewski-ulrich-caroline-buhr-jennifer-walker-crawford

Jan. 18, 2013: Please Note: Almost 6 months now since ACL surgery (July 2012) and rehab going well. Just cleared to start practice, which is a good day. I am a junior (class of 2014) from Mishawaka, IN. I have lead my team to 4 state titles in the last 6 years for AAU and two 3rd place finishes.  We also finished 3rd as 9u and 7th last year at AAU nationals I am an impact player on offense and defense.  My quickness and abilty to shoot the jump shot or work inside are my strengths.  I can also be a tough defensive match-up for opposing teams.

I would like to go to a school with good academics.  My major is undecided, but I know I want to go into the medical field.  Location is not an issue for me, and I am open to any size of school (just not really small).  I am a hard worker and want to get better.  I stay after practice to work on weaknesses.  I want to play at a high level of basketball, but still contribute and add to the success of the team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
