My name is Megan Davis. I'm the oldest of four kids. I'm a hard worker and never quit until the job is done. I'm a leader on and off the court, in my school and in the community. I love the game of basketball. My seventh grade year I was cut from the team. I did not let that stop me. I played in the summer with a team and came back my eighth grade year and made the team. Since that time I have not let anything stop me. My freshmen year I played one freshmen game and was bumped up after that to JV where I started. My sophomore year I started as a JV player and in the middle of the season I got my first varsity start. I was promoted to varsity, and was able to letter that year. I also got most improved player award that year. Between my sophomore and junior season I played for a traveling team that really improved my skills. This year I'm full time varsity and a starter. My biggest asset that I can bring to any team I play for would have to be my defensive skills. I feel that I play excellent half court defense, but i can also bring up the back court in a full court defense and get steals off of long court passes. I may not be the number one scorer on my team but I contribute with assists and offensive rebounds to give my team second chance shots. I know when it's my shot and when it's not my shot. I play the game with brains and I always think of the best and most sure shot. I'm 6' tall, and I play center for my highschool team. This season was great for our team. We went 21-2. I was named All NECC 1st team and All Area. I will be playing in the Indiana Girls Elite North/South game in April. I will also be trying out for the Indiana/Ohio Border Wars team. Location and size of college is not a big concern, I just really want an exellant education. I would like to be a doctor of some sort when I get older. I live in a low income houshold and we receive free lunch and text book assistance.
