Personal Statement

Texas Southern 2018-19 3.67 Cumulative GPA

I spent most of the 2019 season getting stronger and cleared to play. My recovery was delayed by several ankle injuries and wasn't able to play until February of 2019. I believe I had been out of the rotation for to long and earned very little playing time. I am interested in transferring to a D2 so I do not have to sit out another year due to transferring to another D1. I am looking for a good fit both athletically as well as academically. I earning my bachelors degree in Kinesiology Health Studies.

Tyler Junior College Graduate 2016- 2018 3.01 Cumulative GPA

I had a good year at Tyler during the 2016-17 Season. We were Nationally ranked in the top 20 all season and earned an at large bid to Nationals. We lost in Round 1, but had a great season as a team. I learned a great deal about how to be a point guard at the D1 NJCAA level. Our sophomore season had started off great until I tore my ACL on the last preseason day. This changed my path and my sophomore season. I was a medical red shirt during the 2-17-18 season and earned by General Associates while recovering from my ACL surgery in November of 2017. I was signed by Texas Southern not medically cleared.

High School I am an honors student with a passion for math and science. I work hard both on and off the court to improve myself. I plan to pursue a degree in either Criminal Justice or Education. I am well respected by my teachers and my peers. I am warm hearted, fun loving, and I make everyone laugh. However, I always know when to dial up the seriousness. I love to be involved in my school community in every way. We are a family at Rich East something you feel as soon as you become a Rocket.

As a point guard I'm able to utilize my natural leadership abilities through executing plays and directing my teammates. I am the assistant coach on the floor. I am hard working, dedicated, and always strive to be the best. I continue to grow in knowledge, skill, and I'm excited to take my basketball to the next level. I'm a good teammate because I make others better and because I strive to make the right decisions on the court.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
