Tyra Kennedy '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyra Kennedy, a Class of 2023, 5’-6” Guard from Tampa, Florida.  For the past 3 high school seasons, I started at the varsity level, two seasons at Hillsborough High School (HHS) and this past season at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School (BDCHS).

I aspire to play basketball at the collegiate level as I study Psychology with the goal of one day being a Sports Psychologist.

While my education advancement is a top priority, my dedication to basketball is equally important. I’m committed to reaching my full potential as a student athlete, evident by a 3.7 GPA and rigorous workout schedule. Basketball has always been my life. For travel basketball,  play with the Miami Suns EYBL 17U Team Fowles. I play a significant role as a tenacious on-ball defender, shooter, ball handler, and ball distributor. As a teammate I put my team before myself. My main priority is to uplift my teammates and win while having fun. Basketball is something that I’m serious about and I am ready to take your team to the next level. Being dedicated, focus and working hard are some of the things that I do in my everyday life.
