Personal Statement

My name is Julia Beebe and I am a small forward/ shooting guard from Sports and Medicals Sciences Academy in Hartford, Connecticut.

My main goal is to attend a college that is the right fit for my family and myself, get the proper education, and play the sport that I love. After college I plan to attend medical school and pursue a career in the health field.

I am very hardworking in the classroom and on the court. I strive to be the best version of myself possible both, on the court and off. I give 100 percent, no matter the situation and I am always looking for opportunities to better myself as a person and as a player. I feel as if I have much to offer to a team because I am versatile and can play anywhere on the court. I continue to search for opportunities to improve.  I am a team player and show commitment and dedication. Every time I step onto the court I play like its the last time I will ever touch a basketball.

My strengths as a player are versatility, my effort, the ability to see the floor, and the fact that I will always pick my teammates up when they are down. If I had to identify one weakness I have as a player and as a student, it would be that I am a perfectionist. If I don't play to my full potential I get down on myself because I know I am capable of better. As a student, I try very hard to obtain what I see as "perfect grades". I understand that this is a weakness because no human is perfect, and I need to accept that.

At the end of the day, I want to be someone who others look up to and strive to be like. I want to be the best version of myself possible. I want to look back on my life and say that I succeeded and gave my all in everything that I did and accomplished.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
