Casey Torbet '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Casey Torbet and my goal is to play continue playing basketball in college at a school that will challenge me academically as well. I love the game of basketball and cannot imagine not continuing to play through College. Finding a college that can support my desire to play basketball and achieve a high level of academic achievement is important to me. Currently through my senior year at Standley Lake High School in Westminster, CO I have achieved a 4.61 GPA in the Pre-IB/Honors/ AP program and a 30 on my ACT. I am very proud of my academic achievement while also lettering in 3 sports the past 4 years (volleyball, basketball, and track). In my junior year I received recognition as first team all conference in basketball in Jeffco 5A  and honorable mention in volleyball and 2nd Team All conference in Volleyball as a Senior. In addition to playing basketball in High School, I have also played on the Top BC Denver Club Basketball team for the past 4 years. No matter what activity I am participating in I believe in giving full effort at all times. Working hard, being an excellent teammate, focusing on preparation and leading are important to me everyday. My aspiration is to make others better by my own actions and to make a difference.
