Hi everybody my name is DaKota Bruner. I am 17 years old. I am a junior at SoRoCo High School. I play basketball and I also run track. I lettered in both of those sports my freshman year and junior year. I also played volleyball my freshman year, but I didn’t play my sophomore year. I am very dedicated to basketball. I usually average around four basketball camps a summer. I know that it is always academics before athletics but I will say that without athletics I’m not sure where I would be with academics. Some of the goals I have for life is to go as far as I can in basketball. I also would like to go into athletic training. For present I would like to win the state tournament for basketball. I also would like to go to state track every year. I have started varsity basketball as a freshman and I would like to continue that throughout my high school career. I am a hard worker and will put forth whatever it takes to get anything done. I also have a good work ethic. I love basketball and I would love to go farther into the future with it. My goal and dream has always been to play college basketball. I would love that to come true. I am willing to put in as much time and effort as I can to make that come true. I would be a good recruit because even though I am only 5'3 I like to rebound. I also am very aggressive and am very determined. When I have a goal I am determined to meet that goal. Two years ago , during basketball season I had an injury. I tore my ACL, Meniscus, and partial tare in my MCL. I was officially cleared as of Friday the 9th of October 2015. I have come back stronger than ever from that injury. The basketball season is coming up fast, and even though I have been doing my off season work, I need to start going harder. My senior year is coming up. I am very excited to get back on the court with my team for my last high school season. I'm going to have fun during this season, and play with all of my heart!
