Jaydi Starling '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Jaydi, and I am a senior at The Colorado Springs School. I have only played volleyball for 4 years, but have started varsity every year. I believe that with my somewhat new outlook to the game, I am willing and able to get better every day. I have 2 years of club experience. I decided not to play club my junior year, because I wanted to cross train via basketball and tennis to work on stamina, quick feet, vertical, etc. I lettered in all three sports, which is an accomplishment I'm very proud of. This summer I have been going to both volleyball and basketball open gyms and conditioning to prepare for my final season of high school. I have been very lucky to have played with such a great team in high school, making it to the state tournament every year. This year, I was elected as captain, and we made it to the semi-finals in state. Unfortunately, our season ended there, placing 3rd overall. Regardless, I am beyond proud of my team. 

In addition to volleyball, I am the treasurer for the National Honors Society at my school, as well as the editor of the yearbook. I am the co-president of our schools gardening club, and I am also participating in the outdoors adventure club this school year.
