2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Welcome to my NCSA account! I am a Senior at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona. This year I am on Varsity basketball. However I do not limit my practice time to seasonal school basketball set up by the coach. During the school year and summer work hard the advanced P.E. lifting program at my school where we focus on strength and conditioning specific to basketball players. On top of that I also work with a trainer 3-4 times a week where we focus to continually improve my agility/footwork, speed and strength training to make me a more well rounded player.
I am a 5'6" shooting guard, but I am not limited to that and often play point guard as my secondary position. Everyday I spend at least 30 extra minutes developing my ball handling, passes, free throws. Since I mainly play shooting guard I practice shooting midrange jumpers, three pointers.
Off the court I am a hard working student-athlete. I am always striving for top marks in advanced courses. I finished my Junior year with a 3.8 unweighted GPA and I participate in many extra curricular activities. On top of basketball have I played badminton and ran track. I am a member in the Desert Vista Latin Club and Key Club where I have volunteered 150+ hours for my community.
