My love of basketball started in 7th grade, and ever since then I've aspired to play at a collegiate level. I am a utility player, I am always on the floor diving for loose balls, out hustling others for rebounds and running the court to get great transitional scoring opportunities. Over the years of training both in agility and lifting it has helped me go to the glass stronger, finish and-one plays and be a solid foundational player for my team. I am a very tough player and have a never give up mentality. Through my adversity in my life I have acquired a huge mental toughness of the ratio 4 to 1, your mental toughness is 4 and you physical toughness is 1.
Not only am I a solid athlete but a huge motivator, encourager, and leader for my teammates. I feel that everyone on the team has a role. My role coming off the bench at spot 6 or 7 is that I am the spark. I am the game changer, my coach will put me into the game give me a specific goal to do and with my energy levels I will be able to raise my teammates up. I am a defensive stopper with great hustle to do my part in helping lead my team to victory. I may not be the lead scorer but I am a difference maker when I step on the court.
Academics has a huge importance in my life and will always come first. I am a very dedicated person and strive to get the best schooling and athletics I can obtain. My love for the ocean and marine life has made me really passionate about my field of study; Marine Biology. During my college years I would like the opportunities to go on diving explorations, boat outings and be involved in a marine laboratory. Along with doing activities alongside my degree I love to be involved in my school and have many hobbies and talents that include art, photography, volunteer work etc. Getting involved in my school is very important to me and I love to try and explore new things. I am very active in the classroom and very passionate about my studies.
Ever since I lost my dad in a fatal car accident at 5 years old my life has been anything but normal. I am wise beyond my years with dealing, coping and learning from things. Instances in my life have helped me become the loving, caring, helping, dedicated individual I am today. I show these talents in the classroom as well as on the court. I am overall a very down to earth person who believes in hard work and dedication.
