Alysia Perkins '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello to all the hard working coaches out there. Thanks for all you do. My name is Alysia Perkins. I live in a little town called Shelby in Alabama. I am a 6ft. small forward redshirt freshman tranfer from Ohio.  The time has come for me to make some decisions concerning my future.  .  I am looking to possibly transfer to another college to play women's basketball  that is closer to home and that offers my major, which is Sports Medicine.  I love basketball and volleyball. I have played basketball since I was a toddler. I think with more training and more education about the game from a professional coaching staff, I can reach my goal. My parents don't have a lot of money to pay out in tuition and other fees. That is another reason why I I would love to play basketball at a college closer to home. That flying on an airplane can get expensive. I have a sister that is going into her Senior year in college. She is an hour from home.  Therefore, instead of having to come up with one tuition and fees it is now two. My first priority is to work on getting a scholarship. A full ride would be nice. The name that I use to describe my self is "Determined". Whatever goals I set I know that with God, patience, hard work, and faith, I can go somewhere in life.
