Kori Keyes '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello!

I am a division 1 transfer looking for a new home. I am transferring due to lack of scholarship money at my previous college and to find a more positive atmosphere. If you're looking for a leader, someone who can bring out the most in a team and push them to be the best they can be, I am the player for you! I have been told time and time again that I am the “glue” that holds a team together. I am a positive, upbeat, team oriented player that loves this game more than anything. I am very competitive and will not let any ball drop. I work hard at all times, and my previous coach would back me up as a hard-working, determined, and passionate player. I am driven and ready to help the team that is going to take me. I have no previous injuries and I am very healthy. I participate in cross fit/strength & conditioning year round. I can play anywhere, but I played both infield and outfield in high school/college. I am known to make plays that no one thinks are possible. I bat right handed but, if needed I have lefty slapped on and off throughout my softball career. I focused initially on finding a college for my long term working goal and realized that I wanted to play ball as well. My previous college wanted me after seeing me at a late clinic, but in hindsight I probably should have looked for a better fit. I am very excited for a new change and I am open to places near and far.

Outside leadership accomplishments can be attributed to the 140 hours of service in the 2 Fall semesters I worked at my previous college. And, I was the lead teacher and mentor for youth softball players in Verona, WI from 2010-2016. When working college youth clinics, I stood out as the lead instructor and motivator for the young girls. Several whom have traveled to see me play games these past two seasons.
