Just to tell you a little bit about me.. My name is Alyssa Blake and I am a Junior student-athlete at John Marshall High School. The travel team that I am playing for this summer is Roadrunner 18U Buckeye. I am a pitcher and versatile player on the field. My pitching speed is 62 mph and I have six pitches. (My favorite is my drop curve) My batting average was a .525 during summer travel ball. I practice with dedication six days a week. During high school season, I was awarded second team all-state, first team all-valley, and first team OVAC.
Besides softball, I train seven days a week twice a day. Lately I lost 35 lbs in one year. With the help of this weight loss, it helped me recognize my future pathway for my degree - - something in medicine, nutrition, and helping children. I am leaning toward undergrad in teaching and apply for med school to become a pediatrician. ( I know eleven years of college but I love school and learning new things) Like I stated, I love school! I am an AP/ Dual Credit student with a 4.0 GPA. I hope to graduate John Marshall as a sophomore in college. I am president of Student Council and active in ten other clubs at my school and in my community.
