Personal Statement

I have loved playing softball since I was 6 years old.  I have wanted to play college ball since early in my athletic career.   I am normally in the gym or on the field 11 months out of the year so that I can improve myself.  I am also working on improving my skills at 1st Base and hitting.  In the off season I practice pitching 3 times a week plus hitting practice twice a week and Club Team practices.  My freshman year my High School team placed 4th in Washington State.  I am open to playing softball for any Division as long as I can excel first in the classroom and then in the field. I want to be in a program that I can make a contribution early in my career. Softball is a team sport and I believe strongly in being a team player.  My focus is in pitching but I am open to playing anywhere that my skills can be used to help your team.

My academic goal is to graduate High School with a G.P.A of 3.9 or better.  My Career goal is to become a physical therapist and receive a Doctorate Degree.  I want to go to a school where they have a great Exercise Science or Physical Therapy program and a softball program that is constantly improving.  I want to be on a team that plays as a team and has goals to reach the highest levels in softball. I would be an excellent candidate for your College Softball team because I am goal driven, hard working, organized and have a "team mentality". My past academic and athletic achievements verify my intentions. Thank you for taking time to read my Personal Statement.
