Ever since I was young, softball has been in my blood. I started out with t-ball and later baseball. I would catch my brother during our games. My second year of 10-u is when I started playing softball and I did pitching lessons for a couple of years. My passion wasn't as strong and I missed catching so I started back up. I started competitive fastpitch in 12-u and I've been main catcher ever since. I've done tryouts every year and had a new team. So starting out at the bottom of the lineup, I proved my value and became main catcher by the end of each season. Within my last two school and competitive seasons, I've only struck out three times. I'm reliable on moving baserunners and putting the ball in play. All the while keeping straight A's in school. Freshman year is the only year I've had a B. I'll admit, catching is hard work, all the drills I've done in the off season. But that's what makes the game worth it. Along with catching, I've always played 3rd base. All the hard work, it pays off. Nothing can describe my enormous passion I have for the game. The feeling I get when I'm on that field. Being with another family I love. The dedication each and every one of us puts forth. Win or lose, I'm there for my team, and they're there for me, and that's what I love. I love the crowd for all their support, my coaches for always pushing to succeed or get better, my teammates I can rely on, even the weird desire I have to just keep pushing, make people proud, everything about the game I love. Hopefully, I can take my passion to the next level, and prove that I really am worth the pick on a college team.
