Drew Westford '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Drew Westford and I live in Custer, Washington. I am a sophomore at Ferndale High School and currently have a 3.85 GPA. I play for the WA Absolute Blast 18 Gold based in Woodinville, Washington. Catcher is my primary position with a current pop time of 1.80 sec, I play 3rd base and outfield as well. My lifelong goal is to play softball at the highest level and I’m excited about the challenges and fun that college softball has to offer! I believe I can be a positive addition to any program because of my strong work ethic, desire to compete, and all around athleticism that separates me from others. I show up to the field everyday willing to compete and do whatever it takes to be successful. My extreme passion and drive allows me to be a leader on the field as well as in the classroom. As a sophomore I was voted 1st team All Northwest Conference. I hit .524 with 5 HR, 5 triples, and 14 doubles.  I also helped lead Ferndale’s Varsity team to their first ever appearance at the 3A State Tournament my freshman year as the starting catcher. My time management and organizational skills have helped me to be a successful student. I'm enrolled in honors classes and have maintained my Honor Roll status for over 5 years.
