My name is E.J. Bankson. I am a junior at Windsor High School. I have played travel softball for 5+ years, played at the Varsity level for my last school as an 8th grader, and played at the Junior Varsity level for volleyball. I have played at the varsity level for softball as a freshman and sophomore as well as varsity volleyball for my sophomore and junior years. My accomplishments from softball last year included first team all district, first team all region, second team all state and player of the year.
Although athletics are very important to me, academics continue to be my main focus. I am currently in the top class out of 132 students maintaining a 4.25 GPA. I am a very social person and am also known for my personality and leadership on the field and within my school environment. I was selected for the HOBY Leadership program as a sophomore and have been selected for the Leadership Institute as a junior. I am a member of the BETA Club and enjoying volunteer opportunities.
As I continue to mature as a pitcher, teammate and scholar, I have realized that I need a team to win and excel as well as a school that values these characteristics. I would love to be able to share these traits with a collegiate or even national team one day.
My main goal for college is to be successful on and off the field. While at college, I would like to obtain a degree in forensic science and continue onto law school. When I grow up, I would like to be a lawyer and then move into the FBI. I am hoping that softball will be a venue to my success in college and beyond.
