My parents have both stressed the importance of being a Student/Athlete and that I had to keep my grades up if I wanted to play softball. I have worked very hard and have maintained over a 4.0 average my whole academic career. I am in the Gifted and Talented program (SIGNET) and have been on the honor roll every year. I am very blessed to have such great support structure with my family, friends, coaches, and I couldn’t do it without them.
I know talent is not enough and I have to put in a lot of hard work in to reach my goals.
Here is a typical week in my softball life and I have to do my homework around this:
Monday 1 HR Hitting Eileen Hannigan
Tuesday 30 min Hitting/2.5 hr. Conditioning
Wednesday Practice with Vienna Stars 18U Gold
Thursday 30 min. Hitting/2.5 hr. Conditioning
Friday: Travel/Tournament
Saturday: Tournament
Sunday Tournament
I have made so many friends and learned so much from softball like: Sacrifice, hard work, time management, etc.
I will continue to work hard on and off the field until I reach my goals.
