My name is Emily Nelson, and my dream is to get to college. Ever since I first started playing softball I knew it could take me places. That is why I work so hard to get better and better at this game. Softball also helps keep me out of trouble and focused on my goals and achieve the goals and expectations that I am dealt. I am a captain on my travel softball team, the Southampton Storm. My biggest accomplishments so far are getting on the varsity team my freshman year, winning rookie of the year my freshman year, and my travel team, the Virginia Skyliners, taking second place in the silver bracket of the 16u Cat Osterman Experience, in Bellevue, Nebraska. To me, other person's opinions on me count, so I always try to have a good reputation. And people can always count on me to help them through anything, dependability is a huge trait I have. The location of the school I would like to go to is somewhere where I could feel comfortable, and also have fun. Not too rural, and not too urban. I've lived in the country all my life so urban would definitely be something new, but new also isn't bad. I do though, want to stay in the south. i absolutely love everything about the south, the warm weather is a definite plus. The type of school I go to isn't the biggest thing on my mind. I am willing to go anywhere that wants me to play and has my major. Agriculture and Criminal Forensic Sciences are what I mainly want to go to school for. Veterinary Sciences is a close second. My dream is to go to a D1 school, but if this isn't possible for me I would go to D2, D3, and below. My family also isn't born with money to spare, we are a rural family, so financial aid is important to us. I would love to play as a freshman on a college team, but I also realize that is a very tough thing to do, but I am willing and ready to do anything the coach wants me to do, to help my chances. I am a good person to have on the team, emotionally, mentally, and physically.I am always the first person on the field and the last one off. If someone is having trouble with something that I could help them with, I would help them as much as possible, that's just the person I am. So if I am someone you are looking for, feel free to contact or view my profile and ask questions. Thank you.
