I have played softball since I was a child. I also played competitive basketball, soccer, and I swam. After trying all those sports I knew softball was the only thing I truly loved and wanted to continue in. After playing varsity softball as a freshman I tore my UCL ligament in my right elbow which put me out of the game for over a year. I am now recovered and ready to continue the game I love. After almost two years of not playing I started playing with my high school team; I felt mentally and physically stronger than ever. After a long recovery and long gym workouts trying to strengthen my body for the the season, I was able to start at third on the varsity team just like my freshman year. I felt comfortable again and felt like a leader on and off the field pushing my teammates to work hard like I have been working hard to achieve my goals. In my first season back from my surgery was able to hit over .350 and help my team finish 3rd in the state. My recovery was hard work so I felt like anyone could put in work and accomplish anything if your heart truly desires it.
