I am looking forward to playing softball while attending a great college. I plan to obtain my BS degree and then apply to medical school. I especially enjoy visiting with the elderly families in my community and would like to focus my career around Geriatrics. When I have extra time, I love to paint and draw. I also enjoy distance running and spending time outdoors. I took online leadership training in the summer of 2015 and volunteered as a camp intern with Camp Invention. I worked with young children who had interest in STEM. I feel the leadership training and skills I learned will help me throughout my life.
I play both select and high school softball. I play for the Varsity Team at The Colony High School in The Colony, Texas. I am competitive; my mom and dad said they noticed this quality about me when I was very young. I use to play goalie in soccer, but I found my love for softball at around 12 years of age. Typically my primary position is catcher although I often play 3rd base for my high school team. I take hitting and catching lessons, but also consider myself a good utility player. Both my softball and hitting coaches state I am very teachable and a good athlete. I have a strong bat and can get around the bases quickly as demonstrated by my uploaded videos. I love to run and steal bases! I consider myself a good teammate and love to learn techniques that can improve both myself and my team. I consider myself a good citizen and I have the ability to get along with others. I am both mentally and physically tough. I would love the opportunity to show you my skills as they continue to improve with instruction and hard work.
