I have been playing softball since I was four years old and I still enjoy being able to step out on the field and play a game that I absolutely LOVE! I know that one day it is going to have to come to an end but I want it to last as long as possible before I have to hang up the cleats. It has always been my dream to be a college athlete and I hope that I can make that dream come true one day.
I think of myself as being a team captain both through my actions and through my words. You could talk to any coach that I have ever had, and any of them would vouch for me when I say that I always work hard, sometimes harder than I have to actually. I understand the fact that yes my success contributes, but my success is not what matters; it's the team's success that is important. I love to win, but I mean who doesn't? I honestly hate losing, I can't stand it, but it happens and I know that. I mean the game of softball is literally a game set up for failure so if you can't accept the fact that failure is just part of it, I'm sorry to say but softball may not be your sport.
Ever since Elementary School, I have always been very studious. Many kids often say how much they hate school, but I'm just the opposite. I love school. I guess I just enjoy the challenge that is associated with it. Unlike most athletes, my education is my TOP priority because that's the whole reason for all of this right? I am currently maintaining a 4.2 GPA in my high school courses and a 4.0 in my dual credit college classes. I attend a small school with a limited number of students but big school or small school, I am still ranked 5th. I value my education very much as I'm sure you can tell, but I also value my athletic abilities and I do my very best to balance the two equally.
