Jessie Shay Thompson '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jessie Shay Thompson; I am 5'3" 131lbs. I am 16 (5/24/95) and I have been playing select (travel) softball for 5 years spring and fall. Over the years I have participated in the ASA Nationals, AFA Nationals, USFA and the Pony Nationals. I was selected as the game MVP in a game against a team from Nebraska in the OKC Triple Crown tournament 16U in 2010. I played varsity softball for my high school team as a freshman and was selected All-District 1st team infielder as a short stop and Offensive Player of the Year for my high school team with an avg of .571 for the year. I have been going to a hitting coach (John Wardlow-Texas Travelers) weekly for 5 years. During my high school softball season on varsity I stuck out one time. I am interested in playing college softball for a medium/small size school and hopeing to make an impact as a freshman and making it to the College World Series. I am very competitive in all I do weather it is sports or class work. I mainly bat right but can swing left and slap left. I have decided i would like to be a sports theropist.
