Abigail Gatlin '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball ever since I was four years old and ever since then every time I play, I fall in love with the game even more. On every team that I have been on the coaches always tell that am a great player, I am coachable, a team player, and I always show respect to all of my teammates and coaches. I am a very hard worker and I always try my best in everything I do. On the field I play hard but in the classroom I play harder. In school I have always been determined and intense in my academics. If I ever miss school or don't comprehend an area in that subject, I always communicate with my teacher. My goals for high school are to be at least in the top ten ranked students in my class or be Valedictorian or Salutatorian like my dad was in high school. My goals for high school softball is to be the best hitter on the varsity team, to be a starter on the field, be all-district, and to make it to state again with my team. My goals for college is to play on a college softball team, become a physical therapist, and to pass all of my classes with As and high Bs. By playing softball, I have changed in many different and good ways. Before I started playing I was very shy and quiet, but now I have become very outgoing.
