Yadira Lopez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My Name is Yadira Lopez but all my family and friends call me "Yadi". I am athlete who knows the game of softball.  I started playing in T-ball, and have continued to this present day.

I attend Santa Gertrudis Academy High School (SGA)  in Kingsville, Texas. One of my goals coming in as a Freshman was to work hard and make the Varsity Team. Once I made the team my next goal was to earn a starting spot with the Lady Lions. I help my team make it to the State Championship this year were we placed 2nd place.  At SGA I played shortstop, 3rd and outfield. I ended my High School season with a batting average .456. 

During the summer and fall, I play softball with my travel team South Texas Prospect 18u Gold.  With STX Prospect, I am a shortstop and utility player. I will be posting my showcase and camp schedule soon.

My goal is to get an excellent education while playing the sport I love.  I would like to become an Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist.  I would really like to stay in Texas ;however, I'm willing to keep my options open.  What I can offer any team is hard work, dedication, always willing to learn new things,  and to never give up.
