Cathleen Llamas '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal growing up has always been to be the best student athlete I could be. After almost 9 years of playing softball, the core of that goal hasn't changed. I still aspire to be an amazing student athlete, but I also want to help others be the best that they can be. Becoming a collegiate student athlete doesn't just mean having an amazing GPA or breaking college records. To me, becoming a student athlete means helping others, helping others achieve their goals and dreams and becoming the best that they can be. The team and my fellow teammates come first.
I know that by being a student athlete, I am an athlete, I am a student, I am a helping hand. All of these qualities are what I believe make up a collegiate student athlete. Not only is my goal as a student athlete to help others, in college, I am aiming to receive the best college education to help set me up to be successful.
In the future, my career aspiration is to become a doctor of medicine, I feel that this is the best profession for me because I have always wanted to help people as well as get the opportunity to interact with anatomical science. Although the medical field is daunting, I feel that I have the tools and skills set to be successful in this endeavor. I know that with my work ethic I will be able to achieve all that I aspire to be. I am open to any institution so long as I know that where ever I go, I am going to be making the best decision for my future. 
Furthermore, my work ethic and ability to achieve whatever I set for myself set me up for nothing but success. By being a team leader and leading by example I know that I will not only be doing the best for me, but the best for others as well. I know that both on and off the field there are people watching my every move, and by leading by example I can be the best role model to all.
