Softball is my first true love! I have loved playing softball since I was four, and picked up a ball and bat for the first time. I also enjoy playing basketball for my school during the off season. Playing sports has taught me what it truly means to be a part of and contribute to a team, and has helped me to become the person I am today.
A few years ago my coach thought it would be a good idea to convert me to a lefty slapper. It was difficult and uncomfortable for me in the beginning, so I had to work hard, stay focused, and determined. I'm glad I stuck with it and trusted in my coaches, because I have become a very talented left-handed slapper.
Although softball is an important part of my life, my school work and studies are my top priority. My goal is to graduate from Notre Dame High School in the top 10% of my class, and score at least a 30 on my ACT. My hope then, is to earn a top-notch education while also playing softball in college, and go on to become a successful physical therapist.
Ultimately, I believe my leadership, dedication, work ethic, and talent would quickly become an asset to any college and their sports programs.
