Hello, My name is Magenta Hammond. I've been playing competitive softball for the last 9 years with Extreme South Dakota. I am currently a Sophomore at Harrisburg High School, Harrisburg South Dakota. As a 8th grader two years ago and a 9th grader last year, I was moved up to play in the Junior Varsity and Varsity State Tournaments.
I'm excited to see what my future holds for me in school, softball and life in general. Both on and off the field I have a strong work ethic because I know that in order to be able to go to college for softball, I have to work my butt off not only in softball but also in my academics. Throughout all of middle school I was in advanced classes which led to me getting high school credit after passing the end of course exams. I make sure that studies come before other things such as hanging out with friends. My plan is to major in teaching in college because I think that it is a way for me to be able to make a difference in future generations.
