My aspiration in life is to grow up knowing that I lived a fullfilling life where I chose to follow my heart and make my dreams come true. To live a life where I can look back and feel happy about all my success.
I want to have the ability to make all my dreams and wishes come true. One of my dreams and collegiate goals is to play college softball for all 4 years. I have been thinking about what I want to be when I grow up but I am still undecided. Numerous choices interest me but I have yet to shave it down to atleast three. Academics play a huge role in life and in school. Going to bed without finishing homework is unacceptable and I refuse to have unfinished work. All my school assignments are turned in on time with acceptional effort and I strive to receive good grades.
What makes me different from other recruits? People might learn the same things but everyone has their own way of doing it. I am an outgoing person who loves to laugh and have fun, but at the same time, I like to learn new things. Unlike some other athletes, I catch on easily to new tasks and skills, but when I don't, I tend to work my hardest in my spare time to get my weaknesses stronger. I am different from other recruits, because I show my love for the game on and off the field even when it is unnecessary to do so. Also because I put all my effort in everything that I do and I choose to be successful no matter what the challenge. Having the ability to get out on the field and perform in front of a crowd gives me pride and joy because I know that there are others out there who aren't able to do this. Those are the people I play for. I play for the people who are missing out on the thrill from the crowd chants, and for the people who look up to me to show them that hard work pays off in the long run.
"Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity."
Softball is not just a game. It is a way of life. The field is the place where I have the ability to clear my mind and a place where I feel I can accomplish anything. Words cannot explain the love I have for the game but it is expressed by my performance out on the field. Softball is not just a one person sport, because there are 9 positions on the field and a number of women in the dugout. One thing I have learned from playing on a team is that you can't just play for yourself but you have to play for your teammates as well. Leadership is a key quality when it comes to sports, because there will always be one girl out on the field looking up to you or someone else. Not only because of their talent but also because of the person they are. I perform for my team because you either take home a win or a loss, but you always know that you did it together and not by yourself.
