May 27, 2015 - My high school team finished the year as the South Carolina 2015 4A State Champions. I will be playing in the summer with Team NC Louisville Slugger Gold team and starting school at Furman in August.
November 17, 2014 - Signed my National Letter of Intent to attend Furman University in August 2015.Thanks to all those who have helped make this dream possible.
I have played fastpitch softball since I was eight years old. My dream is to play softball at a college that matches my educational and athletic abilities. My goals for the future are to get better each day as a person,a student and a softball player. I am fortunate to have a high school coach who believed in me when I was just a thirteen year old 7th grader and gave me the opportunity to play at a varsity level. My goal for our high school team is to improve our finish each year. Our high school team finished 25-8 for 2014. We went to the Upper State finals and finished in the top 4 in the state 4A division. Individually, I hit .441 with 9 home runs. I was named to the All-Tournament teams for both tournaments we played this year. I also made the first team in the Rock Hill Herald, the Gaston Gazette and the Charlotte Observer softball selections. The SC Womens Coaches Association also selected me to the 4A All-State team.
I have now made All-Region four times, All-Area, All-State (twice) and Conference Player of the Year during the last four years. I have been named MVP Offense on our team twice. I have over 150 hits and 21 Home Runs while playing for Clover. I am playing the summer season with the Lady Blues Gold team. We will be going to the ASA Nationals in Alabama in early August.
I really enjoy helping other people and making them smile. I would like to go into a sports field because I love playing and watching sports. My aspiration is to somehow combine helping people and sports into a meaningful life's work.I am not quite sure yet how to do that yet but I would think about being a math teacher, trainer, coach or a physical therapist for a sports team in college.
