My name is Isabella Collins and I will be 16 on September 26. I've been playing softball since the age of three and there has not been a day that I don't love the game. Throughout the year, I have learned to step up and be a leader for my team, to always give my best, and most importantly I learned that everyone makes mistakes, but it is what you do after that shows who you are. I believe that I can show these traits on a collegiate level and be a great addition to any team.
My academic goals for high school are to not necessarily get all A's, but to always try my hardest at everything that comes my way. Putting forth my best effort has worked for me not only academically, but has also helped me be successful in extracurricular activities, such as; chorus, drama, and softball! My future goal is to enter into the field of Dermatology and one day open up a private practice.
I am very fortunate to have my family behind me every step of the way. I currently live with my mother and 11 year old brother. Because my parents are divorced, I spend every other weekend with my father. Being in this family dynamic has made me grow as a person and be strong no matter what comes my way. Daily, I watch my mother work hard in her career as a teacher and then come home and be a committed parent to me and my brother. My mother has molded me as the person I am today and I am really grateful to have such an amazing role model in my life.
I am extremely grateful that I can play the sport of my dreams with the support of so many family and friends. I hope that I can continue my softball career at the collegiate level while pursuing my dreams to become Dr. Isabella Collins.
