In addition to softball, I am a 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. I also teach our Tiny Tigers ( ages 3 to 5) and also am a Corner/Center judge, a member of the SWAT and Delta team, a Junior Leader, and a member of the Leadership program for the past 5 years. Taekwondo in addition to softball have thought me how to be a better leader, how to communicate with others, but most of all have confidence in myself. I have played softball since t-ball and it is my passion in life. In 2013, I broke our schools home run record of 5 with 6 home runs. In 2014, I broke my own record of 6 with 12 home runs. In addition to breaking that home run record, I also broke our schools over all home run record of 11 set by a baseball player. I'm a hard worker on and off the field, give 110% of everything I do. I have also done 4H for 10 years with the last 2 years as acting Junior Leader for my cooking group. Last night, July 29th I received the most honorable award a 4H 'er can receive for Home Economics which is the Jean Correa award. I had to go through an interview and fill out an application. 4H is not about getting the awards and ribbons but about giving back to our community through community service. Helping an elderly neighbor rack leaves during the fall, not only helped her but also made our community look better. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. Tiah Grass
