My name is Brittney Bult and I am from Brampton, Ontario. I am a 17-year-old, grade 12 student with a 4.0 GPA. I am a member of an elite 18U fastpitch team in Ontario, Celtic Gold. My primary position is pitcher, but I also play a fair amount of second base. I primarily throw a curve ball, screw ball, rise ball and change-up, but also have a fastball and drop ball. I am truly passionate about the game and have a strong hunger to win. I believe softball is more than a game of athletic talent and skill, but also a game of quick thinking and focus. I am constantly challenging myself in order to better my skills in the sport.
I was extremely passionate about softball from the minute I started playing it. In t-ball I was always eager to go to practices and games. I was soon asked to join representative softball, playing on a travel team, furthering my love for the game. As lead pitcher, I have assisted my team in winning three provincial gold championships and two provincial silver finalists. I have also lead my team to place fifth in Canada three times. Throughout my softball career I have been involved with our Team Ontario program. Softball has taught me that I am very determined and focused when it comes to something I am truly passionate about.
I am currently in grade 12 and would like to major in engineering, more specifically environmental engineering. I scored 1890 on the SAT in October 2015 with a math score of 690 and a reading score of 550. My goal is to graduate high school with high honors and continue my academic success throughout university. You may view referral letters from my fellow teachers about my academic successes and personality. I have learned to balance my schoolwork and softball practices accordingly in order to achieve the greatest success in both academics and athletics. I believe my motivation and determination to succeed will allow me to excel as a student athlete in university.
