I am currently a Senior at Broken Arrow High School in Oklahoma. I am taking AP Chemistry and AP Literature and College Algebra to prepare myself for College. I love animals and wish to major in Biology with an emphasis in Fish and Wildlife or animal sciences and then move on to obtain my doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. I am dedicated both to my academics and on the softball field. I have played since I was 4 years old and love every aspect of the game. My dream is to eventually coach my own team someday as a hobby and mentor young softball players the same way my coach has mentored and inspired me.
I am a devoted player and spend most of my free time practicing or in lessons. I have played with the same travel team since I was 12 years old and consider myself to be a fundamentally sound player who works to increase my knowledge of the game. I am originally an outfielder who began playing third base to fulfill a need on our team. I also learned to catch to provide a back up for our catcher. I consider myself a ball player not tied to any one position I will play my very best wherever the team needs me. I am aggressive both offensively and defensively and always think about each situation and where the play is going to be on the next hit. I have a quick glove, strong arm and a great work ethic. I am a power hitter who is consistent at the plate.
I love the game but also appreciate the relationship with my team mates. As an only child they have become my sisters and we are a very close and tight knit group whom I support and encourage. My coach encourages our sportsmanship on and off the field. We took 7th place in the USSSA 14U World Series in 2014 and our team won the Sportsmanship award for the tournament. Even though I am a shy person I show leadership through my example in both my attitude and my effort.
Academically I have always taken advanced classes and am an A student. I have been inducted to the National Honor Society every year. I look forward to finding a college that challenges me on an academic and athletic level.
