Savannah Buchanan '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6" Fast pitch Softball Short Stop/2nd Basemen/Outfielder/Catcher from  Waynesville, NC. I've started on the Tuscola High School varsity team both as a Freshman and Sophomore. As a Sophomore 2nd baseman, I was named 1st team All-Conference,  1st team All-District (All Area) and 1st team All-State (North Carolina). 

I currently hold a 3.0 GPA and am working toward taking the ACT and SAT in the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017. 

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field.  I am still undecided as to what major I will pursue, however, I am looking at something possibly in the health care field, physical education or History. 

Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I fell my best assets are my hitting, knowledge of the game and "can do attitude." I believe my best fit would be at the DII, DIII or NAIA level, however, I would welcome an opportunity to be at the DI level.
