Erica Sage '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Erica Sage; I am a 5 ft 3 inches softball catcher/utility player from Havelock, NC with over 10 years experience. On my High School teams I have played as the starting catcher for both the JV and Varsity teams. As a result of my junior season, I received best defensive player as well as 2nd team all-district. As a batter I am naturally right handed, bunt successfully and most recently I have been working on left handed slap hitting with effect. I have a 3.1 GPA, and I am awaiting the SAT and the ACT testing dates and those scores will be posted once they have been taken. Although I have started this recruiting process late, my hope is to play collegiality someday soon. I would like to attend college on the east coast and in NC if possible. As of right now I am undecided although I have taken interest in the American studies program, the liberal studies program, as well as the pre-veterinary program. Financial assistance and being able to have family close is important. Ideally I would like to be at a program where I would make a big contribution early in my career.
