Lea Gurval '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at Union Catholic High School and have been a varsity starter and lead off hitter since freshman year. I played second base in my freshman year and was moved into the starting pitcher role as a sophomore. I play second when I am not pitching. I have been playing softball since third grade. I also pitch and play 1st, 2nd and the outfield for the 18 U Clifton Cobras and have been playing for the Cobra organization for five years. This past winter I also played for the Voorhees Stars to keep my skills sharp for the 2015 high school and club seasons. I love sports and my favorite sport is softball. I am a person with high moral standards and possess strong mental and physical disciplines. My career goal is to become a sports commentator or physical therapist and my dream is to attend a college that provides the right mix of competitive athletic and academic programs.
