Kayla Rosado '16 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches:

I consider myself as a humble warrior when it comes to softball.  I am intense when it comes to playing the game and leading my team.  I will push myself hard (mentally & physically) and my teammates to win, however I don't cry about losing games.   I believe when we lose games, say little & learn from it.  When we win, say less and stay respectful!   I am looking to be part of a college softball program that truly takes pride in their team,  plays competitively and with heart, and works hard to achieve team goals.  I am compassionated and serious about softball and I want a coach who will push us to the next level! 

Personally, I possess lots of physical power (HS Winter Shot Put Thrower) when it comes to hitting softballs as well as having a good eye for making consistent contact with the ball.  So I can definitely hit for power and average! I also love hitting to all parts of the field!    With respect to defense, I take lots of pride in playing consistently on the field.  I am a natural first base (but also play 3B or OF as needed) with the ability to catch balls at different angles, high or low, and keep my teammates relaxed and thinking about the next play!   

The passion that I bring to the game is the same passion I bring to my academic studies and learning!  I love to grow mentally and I work well with others!  While in college, I plan to explore biology sciences or sports psychology.
