Marisa Monasseri '14 Recruiting Profile

I play(ed) many sports, but softball has become a passion of mine. When I play, I try and look beyond the physical part of the game. I know my physical and athletic abilities, but I always try and sharpen my mental part of the game. Being a catcher has helped with that also. There are a lot of great softball players. How many of those players can really break down every situation in every game in a split second? That is what I strive for. Playing travel/club softball since I was 9 has actually helped me deal with lots of challenges in my short life, including school and student life. I enjoyed grade school and middle school and will continue to enjoy my HS experience. I am a well-rounded student who works hard. As in life, I do not assume anything will be given to me. I need to earn it.
