Lucinda Gomez '16 Recruiting Profile

~~When I strike the ball with my bat and the ball clears the fence for a  homerun is when I receive instant gratification. As I am rounding the bases I realize all my hard work and dedication is worth this moment of pure bliss. As I touch Home plate and hear the crowd reminds me why I love this game so much.
         My name is Lucinda Gomez, and I am 17 years old. I am 5’9 and weigh 163 lbs. I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old. I never thought of playing in college until I was in 8th grade. That was when my career took off and I started working harder than ever to get better both on the field and in the classroom. Now that I am thinking about college, I would love to go somewhere close to home, but always willing to go out of state. It is not critical for me to play at a Division I school, but it would be nice to get a chance to play on that level. Other than softball I would like to go to school with a commendable post secondary education program to pursue my dream of becoming an educator at the high school level.
         Due to my hard work and attitude on the field I know I would be an excellent asset to any team. Also one of my biggest values, in the game of softball,  is a strong team that acts like a family, so I’m always trying to get people together with good spirits and attitude. This, I feel, is always a good benefit to any team.
