Hi, my name is Carly Ward. I have been playing competitive softball since I was nine years old. Ever since I laid my eyes on the game of softball, I never looked back. I love the level of dedication, hard work, and a team atmosphere this sport gives me. The factor that eight other girls have your back is truly amazing and that's why I love this sport so much. Also, the fact that I get to play for someone that is very close to my heart is very important to me. Softball is not only a sport, but it prepares you for life.
Softball only takes me so far, so academics are very important to me. The hard work it takes to play the game is like practice for academics. I would like a school that challenges me academically and athletically. After softball, I want to become a civil engineer. I know this is a very hard field to go into and that's why I take school so seriously. In high school, my goal is to be in the top 10% of my class and maintain a solid 4.0 GPA. I have a lot of goals in life that are not completed yet, so I want a school that fits me academically and athletically.
